Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026 · Omar Ellethy

The WhatsApp Web Designer extension collects nothing; its own policy is on the main website. This page covers the gallery, which needs a little data to run accounts and share moods and themes.

In short: you can browse and download without an account. If you sign up, we store only what an account needs. There are no ads, no analytics or tracking cookies, and we never sell or share your data for marketing.

1. Browsing without an account

You can browse the gallery and download any mood or theme without signing in. We keep a running count of theme downloads; the count is a number and isn't tied to you.

2. If you create an account

We store:

  • Your email address, to sign you in and to send account emails (verification, password resets, account recovery). It is never shown publicly.
  • Your password, if you sign up with one. If you sign in with Google instead, Google confirms who you are and shares your email address with us.
  • Your profile: username, display name, bio and profile picture. These are public.
  • Two-factor authentication settings, if you turn it on.
  • Your activity: the moods and themes you like, and any reports you send.
  • Moderation records: if an account or upload is banned or rejected, we keep the reason.

3. What you share

Moods and themes you upload are public once published, together with their name, description, tags, attribution links and your username. A mood file contains exactly what you exported from the extension: its theme, wallpapers, fonts and sound. It never contains your WhatsApp chats or contacts.

Like counts are public; the list of what you liked is visible only to you.

4. Cookies and local storage

  • Sign-in cookies keep you logged in. They are only set when you sign in and are needed for your account to work.
  • Local storage in your browser remembers your appearance choice and small layout preferences. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.

There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Services we rely on

A few providers store or deliver data for us. They get only what they need to do that job:

  • Cloudflare R2 stores uploaded mood files.
  • Cloudinary stores profile pictures.
  • Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Our hosting and email providers run the site and send account emails, and may log basic request details such as IP addresses.

6. Deleting your account

You can delete your account from your profile. This deactivates it and hides your moods, and we email you a link to recover it if you change your mind. To have your data erased for good, email [email protected].

7. Your rights

You can edit your profile and delete your uploads at any time. To get a copy of your data, or to have it corrected or erased, email [email protected]. If you live in the EU or EEA, you can also contact your local data protection authority.

8. Children

The gallery is not meant for children under 13.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Big changes will also be announced on the gallery.

10. Contact

Privacy questions: [email protected]

Rules for what you share are in the legal notices.
