WhatsApp Web Designer (its source code, compiled extension files, stylesheets, built-in theme configurations, preset names and visual assets) is proprietary software. All rights are reserved.

The extension is not open-source and has never been licensed for reuse, redistribution or modification. No part of it may be:

• Copied, ported or reproduced in another product
• Reverse-engineered from compiled build files
• Redistributed under a different name or brand
• Used as the basis for a competing extension

The built-in themes are original creative works. Their combination of style values, configuration structures and preset names is protected expression. Extracting them, even from a public compiled build, is infringement.

Moods and themes you upload stay yours. By sharing one, you let us host it, show it in the gallery under your username, and let anyone download it and use it in the extension. You can edit or delete what you shared at any time.

Only upload what you made, or what you have the right to share. If a wallpaper, sound or font comes from someone else, credit them in the attribution fields when you upload. You are responsible for what you upload.

These are not allowed anywhere in the gallery:

• Pornography, or anything illegal
• AI-generated images, fonts or sounds
• Other people's work shared without their permission
• Copies of the built-in themes passed off as custom themes
• Impersonating someone, or spam

An admin reviews every mood before it appears publicly. Admins can reject or remove moods, remove themes, and ban accounts that break these rules. If you think a decision was wrong, email [email protected].

In June 2026, a third-party repository published a commit describing itself as a byte-for-byte port of all twelve WhatsApp Web Designer themes. That repository was removed after a successful DMCA takedown notice was filed with GitHub.

Platform enforcement is inconsistent. Filing directly with the host (e.g. GitHub) tends to work better than in-store reporting tools alone.

The extension and this gallery are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Uninterrupted availability, compatibility with future versions of WhatsApp Web, and fitness for any particular purpose are not guaranteed. Moods and themes are made by users, not by us. Use them at your own risk.

We may change, suspend or discontinue the extension or the gallery at any time without notice.
